Elan Skincare Introduction

Back in September I have introduced two new products from Elan Skincare to my evening  routine. The two products are lovingly hand made in small batches by Joanna from www.elanskincare.co.uk  The two products are sold as a set and are called together the Dream Couple, but you can get them separately too. Elan Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Booster

Hyaluronic Acid Booster is a 3% Multi-molecular HA. Our body naturally produces HA. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its own weight, so it  should be a part of a winter skin care routine. HA behaves like a sponge. It holds water in the skin, and therefore plumping it up, improving its texture and strengthening the skin’s natural barrier. Unfortunately as we age, we produce less of it.

HA  combined with oil based Face Renewal Serum, forms a lightweight, easily absorbed emulsion.

Dream Overnight Renewal Serum

Dream Overnight Renewal Face Serum is designed to give you a brighter looking skin and natural healthy glow. It is high in vitamin C and E

Supercharge your skin with a healthy dose of vitamins C (advanced form of vitamin C soluble in oils, to protect skin against pigmentation – forming free radicals) and E. It is a fabulous oil blend that  targets uneven looking, tired or mature skin, which delivers  radiant, nourished and glowing skin.

It contains the following oils:

Organic Jojoba Oil structurally similar to human sebum. It calms and balances the skin. Great for both oily and dry skin.

Abyssinian seed oil is a great natural alternative to synthetic silicones and mineral oils, It has a silky texture, spreads easily and absorbs quickly in the skin.

Squalane has both emollient and occlusive properties that soften and soothe the skin, improve its tone and texture.

Hydrogenated Farnesene great emolient.

Organic Pomegranate seed oil fights free radicals and can help protect against UVB-induced sun damage.

Sea Buckthorn fights inflammation and is deeply hydrating, soothing, toning and skin regenerating.

Oat Kernel oil is rich in ceramides, Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. It leaves the skin soft and hydrated.

Hazelnut oil is a natural astringent. It is toning, smoothing and skin tightening and  can reduce the appearance of pores.

Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) oil soluable form of vitamin C. Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate has been clinically proven to boost skin luminosity and collagen stability, stimulating skin regeneration.

Organic Rosehip Seed CO2 Extract has cell renewal capabilities beneficial in tackling wrinkles, crows’ feet around eyes and dark “age” spots.

Organic Carrot Root CO2 Extract is rich in carotenes, lycopine, lipophilic flavones and vitamins A and E. The carotenoids help to reduce the sun damage. The vitamin A helps to maintain the elasticity of the skin, keeping it firmer and more radiant.

Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant, which nourishes, rejuvenates and restores skin. It helps to protect skin from environmental aggression and premature ageing.

Bisabolol  is known for its antimicrobial activity. It enhances the appearance of dehydrated or damaged skin. It also helps other active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin.

The Dream Couple Summary

The duo leaves my skin feeling moisturised and nourished without any oily residue. It simply works and you can see your skin is more radiant and hydrated almost instantly.

The HA gel is fragrance free and the serum has an amazing citrusy, refreshing and energising aroma. Joanna recommends using one drop of HA gel and two drops of the serum and mix them together and apply to the face and neck. I did just that and it was so easy to apply, it was just perfect amount to cover my face and neck.

I used to use HA separately and would apply oil over it, but after trying it today I think I will stick to mixing the two of them together and then applying to the skin. I have been given this set to try, but I will definitely repurchase it over and over again 🙂
