Why you need a plum oil in your daily routine

I would recommend not just any plum oil, but 100% pure, unrefined and cold pressed prunus domestica seed oil. Ever since Chrissy Teigan mentioned the oil she uses and loves, I see plum oil mentions everywhere. I have to admit, I had to google who she is, I do not follow any celebrities and do not read any celebrity magazines, but I do know and use a fantastic plum oil made out of plums gorown, harvested and cold pressed in France.

Chrissy recommends Le Prunier oil priced at €86.38 made out of just one ingredient: prunus domestica seed oil. Plums they use to produce their oil, as it says on their website, are grown, harvested and cold pressed on their family farm in California.

It all sounds great, and I would highly recommend incorporating a plum oil in your skincare routine, but I would suggest looking for 100% plum oil, made locally, as it is more sustainable. By doing so, you will be supporting your local economy. I love buying as local as possible when possible, so if you live in Europe I would highly recommend you to check out Pure Purpose website give their fantastic products a go.

I use plum oil from Pure Purpose. It is known as the true “liquid gold” from France. Plums used for their face oil are grown in the Gascony region of southwest France. Prune d’Ente trees produce the sweetest plums in Europe. They are certified organic and make rich and nourishing oil.

Pure Purpose plum oil is priced at £17!!! and just like Le Prunier plum oil it is made out of just one ingredient. Prunus domestica seed oil. Pure purpose guarantees that their oil is 100% pure, unrefined and cold pressed Prunus Domestica Seed Oil.

Plum Oil Benefits:

100% pure, unrefined and cold pressed plum kernel oil helps to heal, balance, nourish and hydrate the skin and restores dull hair.

Naturally abundant in omega fatty acids and vitamins, plum oil has hydrating and healing properties. It helps to protect the skin, nails and hair from free radicals. It has a high concentration of oleic acid and γ–tocopherol, both potent anti-oxidants.

Plum oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce the appearance of puffiness, irritation, dark spots, under-eye circles, wrinkles and dry skin. It is good for soothing skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

With a strong almond (almost marzipan-like) scent it isperfect to use in winter time, but I think it is great to use all year round.

It is a very light oil which absorbs easily and leaves no greasy residue. I have very oily skin and just just a few drops. My skin just soaks it up within seconds and I can apply make up straight after if I would like to. This skin elixir can be used on its own to rehydrate and replenish the skin or blended with a face cream. I love mixing a few drops of this oil with a drop or two of hyaluronic acid. It is also perfect for a scalp massage to help moisturise damaged skin and maintain healthy cells.
