It is a great marketing gimmick though.  Usually, a BB cream is considered to be a tinted moisturiser, while a CC cream is more like a liquid foundation.  They are a twist to tinted moisturises which are available on the market for a while now.

BB and CC creams in general provide some sort of sun protection. BB and CC creams might but don’t always have to include beneficial ingredients. The really high-quality BB and CC creams do contain beneficial and skin-improving ingredients.

Clinique’s CC cream provides broad-spectrum sun protection of SPF 30 from a mix of mineral and synthetic actives. The synthetic actives might irritate the skin around the eye area so I would avoid putting the cream too close to my eyes.

This CC cream contains nothing that is all that corrective.

The texture is creamy and a lot thicker than most foundations and BB creams I have used before, which isn’t the best for a smooth application.  It’s workable with a bit of effort.

Clinique’s CC cream provides light to medium coverage and is best for normal to dry skin not prone to breakouts.

The shade selection is very good. I am using the shade very light and it is a little bit too light for me which I don’t mind to much. It doesn’t oxidise on my skin. I have oily skin so I need to powder it a couple of times throughout the day but other than that it is an ok CC cream.  To be honest I don’t think I will repurchase it as I have better foundations that suit my skin better and the thick formula really bothers me.
